Motorists around Sussex are facing long delays this afternoon (March 25) as holidaymakers take the road for the Easter weekend.

There are long delays on the A27 Chichester bypass westbound between Portfield Roundabout and Stockbridge Roundabout.

Elsewhere on the A27 there is very slow traffic on the Lewes bypass eastbound between Ashcombe Roundabout and Southerham Roundabout.

Traffic is queuing in both directions near roadworks in Handcross between Gravelpit Corner and the B2110 junction.

Roadworks are also causing long delays on the A24 southbound between Southwater and Buckbarn Crossroads.
