So, the Royal Bank of Scotland (much of which is publically owned) is seven billion pounds in the red on last year’s trading, the result we are told of previous mismanagement. The fabric of our schools is crumbling and many schools just do not have enough money.
But we must not worry, as bankers will continue to receive bonus payments and the government, who know best, will, we assume, continue to find money to fund new grammars in deprived areas like Sevenoaks.
Politicians continue to assure us they are working for everyone and every part of the country and campaigning for a just and fair society, but do we believe them?
Corbyn has shown no real commitment to Brexit and Blair continues to push Europe which may explain why Labour lost so badly in Copeland. The integrity of the new leader of UKIP has been questioned. So do we feel there is any real party in opposition to hold the government to account?
Are we up the creek without a paddle?
