Good fortune could disappear

Have your say

We, the residents of Watermill Lane, have warmly welcomed the opening of the Link Road that has seen a dramatic drop in the volume of vehicles using the lane, well done all involved in its construction.

However, our good fortune could easily disappear if Sea Change persist in constructing the roundabout on their new North Bexhill Road(NBAR) as their latest figures for traffic , show a 46 per cent increase in traffic on Watermill Lane.

Local residents should note that not only will that extra traffic ruin the lane it will also end up in Catsfield causing chaos past the church, the school and Church Road, areas that are already congested many times during the day.

I do sincerely hope that the council will act sensibly in preventing this massive increase in traffic, ruining our neighbourhood by insisting that no access is permitted onto Watermill Lane from the NBAR.The heartfelt cry from all of us must be ‘bring back the bridge’.
