I would ask for patience

I wish to make public my praise of the present Bexhill Town Forum format and the committee.

We have recently seen evenings where the invited speakers have given us detailed information covering such topics as town planning, new roads, plans for high speed trains, new enterprises for the town centre and more.

Time has been allocated for questions at the end of each talk and the question and answer sheet given out helps to clarify extra points.

All this without having the potentially angry exchanges from the floor that have been part of such meetings under previous formats.

I understand that it is not possible to please everyone all of the time and the committee, indeed any committee, will be open to criticism. However I would ask for patience as I believe this is a town forum in development.
