Long may forum format continue

I have started attending Bexhill Town Forum meetings recently, having heard good and positive comments about them from friends who have recently attended.

I have to say that I found them to be informative, positive and concise with the opportunity for attendees to question and raise points relating to present and future town activities.

In fact, just what is needed for residents of Bexhill and district to be kept informed about the many impending changes which are being brought about in the town, due to constantly evolving circumstances. Some of the new town developments are so fundamental that they will substantially alter the town as it is presently constituted, and as such, could be considered concerning to the present town residents.

Therefore it is so useful that we have a worthwhile town forum which can act as an interface between the town council and the residents. The format of the present meetings would appear to be in marked contrast to the much derided and ineffective format of town forum meetings which existed until a year or so ago which were useless as a source of worthwhile town information and developments. Long may the present format of the town forum exist and I shall continue to attend and, hopefully, contribute in a small way to it’s success.

Good luck to all those worthy people involved.
