Bexhill has a fine and grand seafront from Cooden Beach to Glyne Gap.
It is a frontage of which the town can justly be proud, with the Beaulieu Road open space, the seawall at South Cliff, the new modern gardens along West Parade and the fine Edwardian style of East Parade.
It is also an extremely safe beach for all users following the large sums of money spent on coast protection works during the 1970s and 1980s.
It is therefore such a disappointment that the most central part is such an eyesore.
That is, the area from the Sailing Club to Channel View East where the Sailing Club park their boats.
Whoever are responsible for this scruffy, untidy and overgrown part of the beach should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves.
They should be instructed to tidy it up forthwith as it completely ruins what would be an entirely smart seafront.
And this is the section of beach nearest to the War Memorial. What a disgrace!
