Tired of all the task forces

Are you as tired as I am hearing about task forces, commissions, reports and recommendations, when all you really want to know is what action is being taken?

I have to admit that sometimes the government does take action, but not always in the areas where I would like to see it.

Were you thrilled to hear HSBC is to keep its headquarters in the UK after Osborne improved operating frameworks for banking, or would you have hoped for more movement on finances for the NHS?

Are you surprised to hear the junior doctors are going on strike? We are told the NHS has failed mental patients. But is it not the government who has failed them?

Mental care is underfunded and understaffed and three quarters of patients requiring treatment receive none.

When Cameron was asked how he intended to address this, rather than answering the question he said he realised they had not done enough to end the stigma!

Then he said that some of the insufficient funds already earmarked for the NHS was to be diverted to mental health care...Big deal!

We are also told maternity care needs to be improved, and requires investment and highly qualified staff but no indication was given as to where the funds would come to pay for this

The government loves setting targets but does it seem to you it is not good at producing the resources to help people to achieve them?

We all saw Cameron emerging from his meeting in the early hours, but as we know many including the junior doctors work several nights in a row. When is this government going to come to grips with things which really matter to the people?
