We are not an area in decline

Contrary to some correspondence our town is not in decline, there are new businesses moving here, new shops opening and investors seeing Bexhill as a place with a future.

That is with our existing parking system.

Yes it would be good to have an on street parking review as well as encouraging more to walk, cycle, use buses and trains to access Bexhill.

All these are being explored trying to make it easier for those who want to cross roads safely, easier to cycle and secure bikes, real time passenger information together with a Quality Bus Partnership and free up parking spaces.

Off street parking in town is rarely full, Wainwright Road is mostly empty.

If we had a multi-storey car park it would encourage polluting emissions, increase the risk of collisions and have higher charges.

Pleasing everyone will not be easy because individuals want to access Bexhill by different transport modes, creating a travel choice, preferably a sustainable one is our challenge.

If anyone wants to discuss their transport issues please feel free to contact me at anytime.
