Over the last month the residents of Bexhill and Rother District and many more from further afield have experienced a wonderful “Festival of Music, staged in venues all around our town.

It is so easy to find fault with many things in life, to criticise and say everywhere else is better, but last Sunday the De LaWarr Pavilion erupted to the sound of a wonderful orchestra, a brilliant community choir and the voices of over 700 patriotic residents.

I am proud to be a Bexhillian and when we look at the troubles around the world I feel so lucky to live where we do and to have been given the opportunity to enjoy what we have experienced over the last month right here in Bexhill.

So we would like to express through your pages our sincere thanks to Cllr Tony Mansi and all those groups, choirs, bands, and performers who have given so much pleasure to so many.

Everything we do in life has a cost, but if you are looking for best value look no further, Bexhill has it all, we just need to support and shout about what is good.

Thanks again to all those who are making this summer very special in our delightful town.
