Now Andrew Jones, MP parliamentary under secretary of state for transport has seen the problems on the A21 south of Pembury he will advocate for the dualling to be completed.
So we learnt at the Rail and Road Summit in Hastings last Friday.
Perhaps we should invite our county councillors on the transport and the environment committee to join Andrew Jones in sitting close to Coneyburrow Lane.
There, during the week at around 4.30pm, they could monitor congestion along the A259 all the way to Little Common roundabout.
Perhaps then we will get something done.
Delays will, of course, only increase when the Barnhorn Road development is completed – this is just one of the problems that our 99 bus service has in running to time!
Surely, before solving the greater problems would it not be a good idea to fix those closer to home – costing less and achievable now instead of in some distant time in the future.
