You could hear a pin drop

The Christchurch Singers would like to thank the huge audience who filled the church to utter capacity for their Music for Midsummer’s Eve to raise a massive £976 for the Huntington’s Disease Association.

We would also like to thank our leader Pat Reigh, accompanists Mavis Foskett, Elizabeth Bush, Gerald Witts, and Hilary Morton who led the choir through a selection of inspiring songs.

Voice Prints, six young ladies under the direction of Julie George accompanied by Mark Napier gave up their time to provide an interlude throughout which you could have heard a pin drop, so beautiful was their performance.

Linking it all together was the inimitable Barry Turnwell, whose jokes had the audience in fits of laughter.

Thank you all so much.

The choir’s next performance will be their Christmas Praise, at Christchurch, Springfield Road, Bexhill at 6pm on Sunday, December 13.

We’ll try to add on an extension and buy extra chairs before then!!
