A21 Hurst Green crash man dies

A motorist involved in a collision on the A21 at Hurst Green yesterday (Wednesday) has died.
The 52-year-old man from St Leonards was seriously injured when the grey Fiat Marea HLX he was driving collided with a red DAF goods vehicle and a Vauxhall Vivaro van.
Emergency services raced to the scene and paramedics took the man to the Conquest Hospital in Hastings, where he later died.
The collision happened just before 7.15am and the road was closed for around four-and-a-half hours while police examined the scene, causing rush hour chaos.
Police have not yet identified the man.
Sgt Jon Carter from the Road Policing Unit would like to hear from anyone who saw the collision or the movement of any of the vehicles in the area prior to it.
