Battle crime round-up

Here is this week's round-up of crimes in the Battle area.
VANDALS threw a stone at a business in Robertsbridge High Street causing the window to break.
The incident happened at around midnight on Friday August 15.

THIEVES stole a section of fencing at Brede High Woods in Reservoir Lane in Sedlescombe.
Fencing had previously stolen from the site in July.
The incident was reported to police at 1.05am on Friday August 15.

VANDALS scratched a blue Ford Mondeo which was parked in Queen Elizabeth Close, Battle.
Police say it is not the first time the vehicle has been targetted in the last month.
The vandalism happened some time between midday on Thursday August 14 and 8am the next day.

A SELECTION of tools were stolen during a spate of vehicle thefts in Burwash last week.
Four vehicles were reported to have been targetted in the village overnight on Wednesday August 13.
A battery drill telescope and tripod were stolen from a Citroen Despatch van in Beechwood Close, Burwash between 8pm on August 13 and 8.30am the next day.
And a number of power tools were stolen from a white Peugeot Boxer van in the High Street between 10pm the same day and 6am on August 14.
A VW Transporter was broken into in Heathfield Road, Burwash Weald, and more tools were stolen between 11pm on Wednesday and 6.30am the next day.
Meanwhile, in Beechwood Close, a silver Vauxhall Zafira was broken into, the interior was searched, but nothing was stolen.
The break in happened between 8pm on August 12 and 8.30am the next day.
Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them on 0845 60 70 999.

VANDALS daubed black graffiti on the rear wheel arch of a maroon Peugeot estate parked in Skinners Lane, Catsfield.
The incident happened between 12.30pm on Sunday August 10 and 3.30pm on Friday August 15.

POLICE were called to Park Shaw in Sedlescombe following reports of local youths throwing stones and causing a nuisance.
The incident was reported at 9.45am on Wednesday August 13.

THIEVES stole a number of tools after breaking into a white Ford Escort van in Bodiam Road, Staplecross, at around 11am on Wednesday August 13.
A car was seen to speed away from the area, but there is no description of the make, model or colour.
