Entries wanted fro Rye Flower and Veg Show

Green fingered gardening enthusiasts are being urged to enter the Fourth Rye Flower and Vegetable Show on Saturday August 30.
The show takes place at Rye Community Centre and has ben jointly organised by Rye in Bloom and Rye Allotment Holder's Association.

Last year's shown saw more than 230 entries on display and classes cover everything from cactuses to home made produce.

It costs 40p per item to enter, with children's classes free of charge.
Entry forms are available from outlets around the town, including Rye Town Hall. They must be returned by 5pm on Friday August 29.

All entries must be brought to the community centre between 10am and noon on Saturday 30.

Judging will commence at noon sharp.

The show will open to the public at 2pm.

Show secretary Lorna Hall said: "Come along and join in the fun this year. This is a real community event and an opportunity to show what you grow."
