Established Battle car sales business Vicarys has seen a change of hands this week, after Ken Hood took over from Graham Bradley, who had run the business for the past 18 years.
Ken, 51, is well known in the motor trade having worked as a mechanic and salesman in the area for the past 35 years.
Ken said: "For the past nine years I've been running my own business, Ken Hood Car Sales in Bexhill and Cooden.
"The opportunity arose to take over and Vicarys and it was one that I couldn't turn down.
"Vicarys is a well-known business to locals and my intention is to keep it running as it has been, we'll be specialising in low mileage specialist cars, but after working in the motor trade for so long my contacts mean that if there is something out there that you are looking for, make, model or price, then I'll do my best to find it for you.
"I'm really looking forward to working in Battle. I live locally, and my family and I have always loved the place."
Vicarys will be open seven days a week and Ken can be contacted on 01424 772425 or visit www.vicarys.com
