Pupils parents and staff took part in a moving farewell to Rye's Freda Gardham School last week.
Former pupils and staff members returned to the school for a big Tea Party on Friday afternoon.

Among those attending was 95 year old Arthur Woodgate who, as a 19 year old apprentice builder, worked on the construction of the school.

Children made cakes for the visitors and showed the around the school, while the walls were lined by artwork, made by pupils, including colourful painted masks.

On display were old photographs which charted the school's history.
Deputy Head Jane Howard said: "It was a very special occasion and quite moving. Some people travelled quite a distance to come back to the school."

Children were given a special DVD of the history of the school as a memento and reminder of their time there.

Friday was a packed day with children taking part in a parade through Rye to a special leavers service at St Mary's Church.
They finished the day with a picnic.

Children from Freda Gardham will be moving to the new Rye Primary School at Love Lane after the summer break.
