Rye Cubs enjoy action packed camp

Ten Cubs from Rye enjoyed a three day camp and activity centre.
The Cubs, from the 1st Rye group travelled to Marlow, Buckinghamshire, to attend the Longridge Activity Centre, camping beside the Thames.

Dave Hatter, from Rye Cubs, said: "It was a fun packed camp with all the Cubs getting involved in a lots of different boating activities.
"All ten of them gained there BCU paddle power in kayaking.

"The cubs travelled to the camp on the Rye Community Transport bus and would like to thank the drivers Harry Conlin and Peter Holland for taking the Cubs to and from camp.

"Also thanks to Jane, Maurice and Tom Nash for putting the tents up on a very damp Sunday afternoon and thanks to Janet Smith For coming along on camp to and make life a bit easier for the leaders.

"Without these people the camp wouldn't have gone ahead."
