Rye Museum has children's activities every Wednesday during August from 2pm - 4pm.
Rosalind Collier, from the Museum Association, said: "The first activity afternoon was great fun. Drawing, cutting out, glitter, hats, beads, colouring in, all figured prominently.

"Each week we will be introducing new ideas: pirate hats, superhe
ro masks, necklace making, postcard making, mosaics and much more."

A Bygone Summers fund raising event on Saturday August 23 will see a host of things going on including Punch and Judy at the Museum in East Street, tombola, face painting, an Art in the Tower display, and arty activities for children.

There will also be things going on around the town on the day at participating venues. A full programme of events and supporters will be produced nearer the time.

Curator Claire Eden said: "Rye Castle Museum would like to say a big thank you to all the local businesses and organisations who have already got involved with this event including donations of prizes and financial contributions.

"For those who are getting involved on the day, we really couldn't do this without you, so thank you very much for supporting our event."
