Rye area Poppy Appeal success

The Rye area Poppy Appeal has raised a record £10,898.19.
The figure for collections, which took place in the autumn, is up more than £2,000 on last year.
This week collectors toasted the success of the appeal when they met at Brede.
Organiser Julie Parker said: "It was wonderful to top the £10,000 mark.
"I would like to say a big thank you to the helpers and all those who donated and made it possible."
