Rye in TV spotlight

Rye was in the television spotlight when the BBC arrived last friday to film their evening news programme from Strand Quay.
BBC news presenters Beverley Thompson and Geoff Clark were joined by weather girl Kaddy Lee-Preston as part of their South East Deck Chair Tour.

The programme included features on the local fishing fleet and a Rye jeweller and television cameras followed Rye police community support officer Dan Bevan to film a typical day in his working life.

Local people were able to chat to the presenters at Strand Quay befroe the broadcast.
