A Rye youngster is heartbroken after his treasured BMX bike was stolen.
Ten year old Daniel Kimmit had saved for ages to buy the £130 bike.

He had the bike for just five months before it was stolen from the Tilling Green estate two weeks ago.

Daniel had left the bike by the play park on the estate, near his Marley Road home, while he went for a kick-about but returned to find it gone.

Mum Shelley said: "He lived on that bike and now he is without it for the summer holiday. Now he doesn't go out much."

Rye police community support officer Dan Bevan said: "I really feel for this little lad. He had saved up his pocket money and this is a horrible thing to happen."

The bike is a blue and white X-Rated Hustle BMX, like the one pictured here.

If you know of its whereabouts contact Dan at Rye police station on 08445 60 70 999.
