A concert at Winchelsea Church on Saturday July 19 will celebrate the life of Derek Norcross and raise funds for Rye's ARRCC charity.
Following last year's highly successful concert local Rye charity ARRCC presents Songs For A Summers Evening, dedicated to the memory of Derek Norcross.

Educationalist, politician, and musician, Derek Norcross who died tragically in a car acciden
t in 2006, was a staunch supporter of East Sussex charities, raising funds as well as the public's awareness of the activities of smaller charities.

At the time of his death he was involved in organising a concert to help ARRCC secure the continuation of their Day Centre.

The ARRCC Day Centre offers a unique programme of creative activities to people with physical disabilities and sensory impairments.

The concert takes place on Saturday at 7.30pm at St. Thomas' Church Winchelsea.

Performers include popular local singers Gary Marriott and Karen McInally, South African soprano Michele Corbin, winner of the Gold Medal in this year's Hastings Music Festival and well-known soloists from The Hastleons.

Audrey Norcross and Duncan Reid accompany the singers in a diverse programme of songs drawn from the worlds of classical, light and Music Theatre, promising an evening of drama, poignancy and much humour.

All proceeds raised from the concert will go directly to ARRCC
Tickets are £7.00, available from Martello Bookshop (Rye) Winchelsea Shop or on the door. There will be interval refreshments.
