Hastings United secretary Tony Cosens clutches the Middlesbrough tickets which fans have been snapping up

Football fans have been quick to snap up tickets for Hastings United’s big FA Cup tie away to Middlesbrough.

As of yesterday (Thursday) lunchtime, United secretary Tony Cosens estimated that 6-700 tickets had been sold for the third round clash on Saturday January 5.

The club started taking bookings for a fifth supporters’ coach yesterday morning, while many people are planning to travel up next Friday and make a weekend of it.

United chairman Dave Walters stressed, however, there is no need to panic regarding tickets as they will not run out.

Tickets are available from The Pilot Field on weekdays from 9.30am-1pm and 2.30-5pm, plus during the Lewes game on Tuesday. Prices are £10 for adults, £7 concessions and £5 under-16s.

To book a seat on a coach, email Dan Willett at hastingsutdsupportersclub@hotmail.co.uk. The cost is £30 return for all adults and £10 for under-18s. Coaches will leave The Pilot Field at 6am prompt.
