Daina chosen for World Games

Daina Rose has been selected to represent Great Britain in trampolining at the 20th World Age Group Games.

The Helenswood School student will be hoping to repeat her success of last year when she won silver in the 11-12 age group in St Petersburg, Russia.

This time, though, Gillingham Jumpers member Daina, of The Ridge, will be at the lower end of the 13-14 age group in Metz, France, from November 13-20.

She will compete as an individual and in synchro with Sheffield-based partner Georgie Haycock, alongside whom she won gold in the under-15 age group at the 2010 British Trampoline, Tumbling and DMT Championships during July.

What's more, Daina has been chosen to represent the England junior (under-17) squad in Loule, Portugal, next month and in the Home Nations competition at a venue to be confirmed during October after a successful trial in Kingston.
