Davis drawn against Day

Mark Davis was paired with Ryan Day in Thursday morning's draw for the Betfred.com World Snooker Championship.

The St Leonards cueman, who is 29th on the provisional world rankings, will be up against the provisional no.8 from Wales, a three-time ranking event runner-up, in round one of the televised stage.

Davis, 37, continued his excellent season by making his way through the qualifiers last weekend courtesy of 10-7 wins over Barry Pinches and Dave Harold.

The Betfred.com World Snooker Championship will take place at the famous Crucible Theatre in Sheffield from April 17-May 3.
