Dazzling Daina is a national champ

Daina Rose celebrated a stunning victory in the 2010 British Trampoline, Tumbling and DMT Championships at the NIA, Birmingham.

The Helenswood School student triumphed in the under-15 girls' synchronized trampolining category in partnership with fellow 13-year-old Georgie Haycock from Sheffield.

After qualifying for the prestigious event after competing all over England, Ireland and Wales throughout the year, Daina and Georgie earned enough points to be placed sixth and join their fellow top eight pairs in the finals.

The destination of the medals was then decided by one routine and Daina and her partner jumped brilliantly to be crowned British champions.

That same day Daina, of The Ridge, made the finals in the under-15 girls' individual competition after two superb routines placed her third, a position she held on to on Sunday.
