The area’s three senior football clubs are all due to be in action tonight (Tuesday), weather permitting.

Hastings United, Bexhill United and Little Common all have games scheduled, but heavy rain is forecast until early this afternoon.

Hastings are down to visit East Grinstead Town in Ryman Football League Division One South and will be keen to build on the excellent 4-1 win at Guernsey on Saturday.

That result lifted United to sixth in the table - two points and one place outside the play-off spots - and a win tonight would move them into the all-important top five. Kick-off is 7.30pm.

Elsewhere tonight, Little Common are scheduled to travel to Broadbridge Heath for a Macron Store Southern Combination Football League Peter Bentley Challenge Cup quarter-final.

Common are the only senior club in Sussex to have reached the quarter-finals of three knockout competitions this season and this is their final chance to make it beyond the last eight.

The Commoners are eighth in Division One and Heath lie 11th in the Premier Division, but Common have won eight of their 12 cup ties so far this term, three of them against higher level clubs. Kick-off is 7.45pm.

Bexhill are due to contest their first midweek fixture since late October as Langney Wanderers are set to visit The Polegrove in Southern Combination League Division One.

Eleventh-placed Bexhill are one position and two points worse off than Langney having played six more matches, and are coming off the back of four successive defeats. Kick-off is due to be at 7.45pm.

News of any pitch inspections or postponements will appear on this website.
