Hastings United Football Club’s game away to Peacehaven & Telscombe this afternoon (Saturday) looks set to go ahead despite the wet weather.

Peacehaven have stated on social media site Twitter that the Ryman Football League Division One South match is on and that there is no planned pitch inspection. Kick-off is 3pm.

That news will be welcomed by Hastings, who will be eager to avoid postponements as they seek to eat into their fixture backlog. The U’s have between four and seven games in hand on every other club in the division.

Elsewhere, Westfield’s scheduled visit from Ferring in Macron Store Southern Combination Football League Division Two has been called-off due to a waterlogged pitch. It’s Westfield’s first postponement at home this season.

Bexhill United’s match away to Ringmer in Southern Combination Football League Division One has also now been postponed, as has Little Common’s scheduled visit from Langney Wanderers in the same division.
