United completed the signing of the 25-year-old from Walton Casuals yesterday and will be hoping the winger/striker can help their quest to start climbing the Ryman Football League Division One South table.

Darren Hare's side is down in 14th place at present, but has between two and six games in hand on every other club in the division. United are currently 11 points outside the play-off spots.

A victory will be the clear objective today against a Chatham side which lies third-from-bottom having picked up nine less points than United from six more matches.

Stephen Butcher (hamstring) is still a week or two from fitness, while Sam Cole has still got a bit of swelling on his knee and is likely therefore to be out for a while longer.

All of United's last three games and five of their last six have been in the various cup competitions, but they are now free to focus solely on their quest for promotion in the league.

Elsewhere today, Bexhill United are away to Seaford Town and Little Common will travel to Southwick in Macron Store Southern Combination Football League Division One.
