Hastings call on Shots duo

Hastings United have bolstered their squad this week

Hastings United player-manager Sean Ray has been busy adding to his squad this week.

Rory Murphy and Reece Beckles-Richards have joined the Ryman Football League Premier Division club on work experience from Aldershot Town, while Adrian Stone has rejoined United from Faversham Town.

Murphy made an impressive debut at left-back during the League Cup quarter-final victory over Whitehawk on Tuesday night, while fellow 17-year-old Beckles-Richards came on as a substitute up-front. Stone, another forward, returns to a club where he made three appearances back in 2010.

Scott Manning is considered unlikely to be fit for the important second-bottom versus bottom clash at home to Carshalton Athletic tomorrow (Saturday), while Matt Whitehead is also struggling.
