Hastings game beats weather

The snow has been cleared from The Pilot Field pitch and tonight's game is on

Hastings United’s game at home to Cray Wanderers tonight (Tuesday) is set to go ahead.

The Pilot Field pitch passed an afternoon inspection thanks to the efforts of groundsman Simon Rudkins and a clutch of volunteers to clear snow off the surface. Kick-off is 7.45pm.

With every other Ryman Football League match off tonight, a win would move second-bottom United up four places in the Premier Division table and within three points of 15th-placed Cray with four games in hand.

If you can’t make it to the game, follow @SimonNewstead on Twitter for in-play updates and visit www.hastingsobserver.co.uk later tonight for a report. Rye United’s Sussex Senior Cup third round tie against East Preston has been postponed.
