Hastings beaten again on travels

Hastings United suffered a second successive defeat away from home on Saturday.

The U's went down 3-2 at the hands of Ashford Town (Middx) just four days after a single goal reverse against Wealdstone in the Premier Division of the Ryman Football League.

United were two goals behind at half time, but clawed their way back to level terms via an own goal and one from Ade Olorunda only to concede again and come away empty handed.

Tony Dolby's side remains fourth in the table - the third of the four play-off places - but the chasing pack continues to draw ever closer and most of the pursuers have games in hand.

A full report will appear in Friday's Hastings Observer.
