Latest win puts Rye back on top

Rye United went back on top of the table courtesy of a 3-0 win at home to Wealden on Wednesday night.

Their eighth consecutive Sussex County Football League Division Two victory - and sixth clean sheet - put The Quarterboys a point clear of local rivals Sidley United with two games in hand.

Duncan McArthur put Rye ahead from the penalty spot on the stroke of half time before second half strikes from Dominic Clarke and Luke Woodley sealed the points.
