PICTURE GALLERY: Rye United V Guernsey

It was billed as the biggest football match ever to take place in Rye and it turned out to be one of the best.

But it was heartache for Rye United as they were edged out 6-5 after extra-time by much-fancied Guernsey in an extraordinary FA Vase last 32 tie.

That was despite Rye leading 2-0, 4-3 and 5-4 at The Salts on Saturday with Sam Crabb (2), Matt Maclean, Sam Adams and Sean Kelly scoring their goals.
