Paul Sandeman has been banned for two games by Hastings & Bexhill RFC

Hastings & Bexhill captain Paul Sandeman is set to miss the next two matches.

The rugby club immediately banned Sandeman for a fortnight after his red card in the last minute of Saturday’s win at King’s College Hospital with a Sussex RFU hearing to follow.

H&B head coach Kevin Smith said: “We’ve got photographic evidence confirming what we think happened, but it all depends on the referee’s report.

“I think he wrapped the player up, but it was late. I certainly back him. He does lead from the front and he’s been outstanding this season.”

Having won four games in a row for the first time all season, H&B are six points clear in second place in Kent

One. They will host fifth-placed Cranbrook on Saturday from 3pm.
