Rye and Sidley set for action

Rye United and Sidley United will be in Sussex County Football League Division One action tonight (Tuesday).

Second-placed Rye will go in search of a fourth consecutive victory when they travel to still winless Eastbourne United AFC.

Manager Scott Price will have to reshuffle a defence which has kept five clean sheets in the first six games because Shaun Loft and Sam Cole are suspended.

Paul Tuppenney returns from a one-match ban of his own and will probably fill Cole's left-back slot, while Price was waiting to hear from Hastings United boss Tony Dolby if he can use the dual-registered Rhys Whyborne.

Having been fixtureless at the weekend, Sidley will get back down to business with a trip to a Crowborough Athletic side which has started pretty well.

Kevin Rose is away so Zack McEniry may well come in up-front. Both matches will start at 7.45pm.

The results will appear here tonight.
