Rye eyeing top spot

Rye United have the chance to go top of the table tonight (Wednesday).

The Quarterboys will hit the front in Division Two of the Sussex County Football League with three points at home to Wealden. Kick-off at The Salts is 7.30pm.

Rye go into the match buoyed by seven successive league victories, although it won't be easy against a fifth-placed Wealden side which still has an outside chance of a top three finish.

Sidley United went top last night on the back of a 2-1 victory at home to Seaford Town, while Loxwood dropped to third after losing 3-1 away to Oakwood.

Return here later to find out how Rye get on.
