Saxons keep title hopes alive
South Saxons Hockey Club kept its outside title hopes alive by beating the previously undefeated leaders on Saturday.
Saxons came from 2-0 down in the opening five minutes to win 6-3 at home to Worthing II in South Hockey League Sussex Area - Division One.
It means that second-placed Saxons are back within three points of Worthing, albeit with a significantly inferior goal difference, with three games remaining.
George Eldridge, Paddy Cornish and Alex Coombs put Saxons 3-2 up at half time before man of the match Dan Burnett, Coombs and Cornish sealed the win after the break.

The seconds of Saxons are five points adrift at the foot of the same division after suffering a 2-1 defeat away to second-bottom Horsham II.
