Music to honour 1066 anniversary
To coincide with celebrations of the 950th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings, St Mary in the Castle will present Les Dernieres Trouveres next Friday October 14. Doors open from 7pm.
The band performs French Medieval music and traditional folk music from across Europe. Les Derniers Trouvères travel through France and Europe carrying on the grand tradition of the medieval royal court, and the magic of the Celtic legend, bringing ancient sounds of the arch viola, mandola, bagpipe, and harp, plus stunning voices.
