It’s yesterday once more with a chance to remember the astonishing talent of Karen and Richard Carpenter in a new production which comes to the White Rock Theatre on Sunday October 11 at 7.30pm.

The show has a fan in no less than Richard himself who gave his personal reaction: “It was well played, very accurate – I’m flattered!”

From the stable that brought to Hastings the Illegal Eagles, Phil Aldridge presents this sensational new presentation. Widely regarded as the first tribute back in 1989, The Carpenters Story brings the show bang up to date with lavish arrangements, stunning vocal harmonies and Claire Furley’s uncanny representation of Karen Carpenter combining to bring back memories of pop’s most melodic duo.

It features all the much loved songs such as - Close To You, We’ve Only Just Begun, I Won’t Last a Day Without You, Goodbye to Love, Top of the World, Please Mr Postman, Solitaire and lots more.

The Carpenters Story take you on a magical musical journey spanning 3 decades. Recently, the show has performed on the “Rainy days and Mondays” tour in conjunction with Smooth FM selling out theatres nationwide. For tickets call box office on 01424 462288.
