Jack and the Beanstalk at Battle Memorial Hall is a tale of love, money, kidnap and comedy packed with great songs to entertain the whole family this Christmas.
Out There Productions have assembled a cast of local talent including children from the area who have been working hard over the past weeks to put on this traditional pantomime.
The show is produced and directed by husband and wife team Avril and Gary Crawford.
Jack and the Beanstalk is the story of poor farmer boy Jack who falls in love with a beautiful princess.
His mother, Dame Durden decides the only way to raise money to pay the rent is to sell the family cow.
However, Jack is tricked by a wicked witch who pays Jack with beans instead of gold and kidnaps the princess and takes her to Giantland to force her to marry The Giant.
Just when we think all hope is lost a kind fairy turns the beans to magic and they grow into an enormous beanstalk reaching far into the clouds, all the way to Giantland.
If Jack can climb the Beanstalk and steal the evil Giant’s gold he will be rich enough to marry the Princess! Can he do it?
Jack and the Beanstalk runs form Saturday 19th to Sunday December 20 with two shows at 2pm and 6pm on the Saturday and one at 2pm on the Sunday.
