Bexhill Artists Workspace

BEXHILL Artists' Workspace held their AGM recently where the following were elected: chairman, Terry Carter; secretary, Maggie Carpenter and treasurer, Chas Couldrick.

The main meeting was followed by a very interesting talk from Julian Porter, curator at Bexhill Museum, about the exciting plans for the new museum site and the ongoing work of the staff and volunteers associated with Bexhill Museum.

BAW invites all local artists - professional and amateur to join at the incredible rate of 7.50 per year, giving access to our two large exhibitions, information about art events locally and the chance to attend workshops - indoor at St Peter's Community Centre from September to May and outdoor during the summer.

We also exhibit at the Colonnade during the summer and are eventually hoping to move to permanent premises to set up gallery space and workshop facilities for use by all.

Our next big event will be our Autumn-Pre Christmas Exhibition and Craft Event in Parkhurst Hall on Saturday November 8 - 10am - 3 p.m.

with a variety of stalls and artwork on display and for sale and refreshments available.
