Audrey Burgess (catering) had been co-opted on the outgoing committee and was elected to the new one.

Under the item for any other business, the chairman made a strong plea for the vacancies of vice-chairman and treasurer. He emphasised that the long-term future of the association looked uncertain without these officers.

After the business agenda of the meeting, Simon Lee, the property manager of Nymans and Wakehurst, gave a most interesting talk on developments at Nymans.

The next meeting is on Saturday, December 6, at St Peter's Community Centre, starting at 3.45pm when, after popular demand, Joyce Lewis and Derrick Hughes will play the traditional music of Britain and Ireland on unusual instruments.

Visitors will be most welcome for an entrance fee of 3.

If you are interested in joining our association please call the membership secretary Sonia Vincett on 844843. Membership costs only 3.50 a year.
