BEXHILL RAFA certainly attracts a better class of guest. Last year's speaker at the annual lunch was Air Chief Marshal Clive Loader, who gave a 'marvellous' talk, according to branch president Ken Igglesden.
This year's guest is just as impressive - Air Vice Marshal Grahame Jones who is the new Secretary General of the RAFA, which is based in Leicester.
Ken commented: "He only came into office on January 1 and we have asked him to come down to our lunch, which he has accepted - we are very delighted. He is the highest ranked man we have ever had in the job. We are very pleased because he has only just taken office but already agreed to be speaker at our lunch which is on May 19 at Cooden Beach golf club.
"It is a bit of a feather in our cap to get someone like this down - it will probably be one of his first ventures out into the country."
