Civil Service Motoring Association Bexhill Group

THE Civil Service Motoring Association, Bexhill Group, meets at the Cooden Beach Hotel, on the third Tuesday of each month, except December, starting at 7.30pm.

The meeting is open to all members of the csma who live in Eastbourne, Bexhill, Hastings and the surrounding area.

We are not exclusively interested in motoring but meet as a social group to hear a talk and take part in a charity raffle. We also organise monthly lunches and outings.

At the meeting on Tuesday, November 18, members were entertained to a lively and interesting talk on Art and Fraud in Art by Mr Tony Smith.

Mr Smith has been collecting paintings for some years and brought some examples, together with photographic slides which he used to explain what he looks for in a painting including the use of colour and technique.

He also discussed the lives of two well-known art fraudsters Tom Keating and Elmyr de Hory.

In December it's the Christmas lunch and dinner while on Tuesday, January 6, the monthly lunch will be held at the Bo Peep Hotel, St Leonards.
