Civil Service Retirement Fellowship Bexhill Group

NOVEMBER has been a very sad month for the group with the death of two of committee members.

Firstly, Bernard Loughlin, the records secretary, who had been unwell for some time and then, suddenly died while on holiday in Portugal, Jean Dimon who made all the arrangements for the annual Christmas dinner at the Hydro Hotel in Eastbourne. Both will be sadly missed for all their work over the years and our condolences go to both their families.

As Jean was so efficient, nearly all the arrangements are in hand for this year's dinner but it will be tinged with a little sadness as we remember her and other members who have passed away during the year.

In January we are off to Eastbourne to see Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs and it is good to know all the tickets we booked have been sold.

This visit will be followed by our first monthly coffee morning of the new year at the Sailing Club on Tuesday, January 27, starting at 10am.

Coffee mornings are held on the fourth Tuesday of every month with the exception of December and there is always an excellent raffle.

Bookings for all outings are also made at these coffee mornings so do please come along. We are always delighted to welcome new members.
