A fantastic double bill at fundraising event

A special Jazz Hastings event with a stellar line-up of the Liane Carroll Trio plus Dick Pearce Quartet, will take place at the East Hastings Sea Angling Club, Hastings, on Tuesday, September 3.

Ex-Ronnie Scott trumpeter Dick Pearce and his Quartet are playing the first set of the benefit and Liane Carroll’s Trio the second, plus many more special guests.

Jazz Hastings is a not-for-profit organisation that has been going for eight years, and this fundraising event is to enable it to continue with a varied programme for the next year.

The performers are donating their time for what is sure to be a unique double bill.

Hastings’ own award-winning jazz musician Liane Carroll draws large crowds wherever she plays, and with good reason.

Dick Pearce first emerged on London’s jazz scene in the early 1970s.

Since then, his sound and his approach to improvisation have enhanced many jazz groups, TV jingles and studio recordings.
