Glenleigh Park Afternoon Townswomen's Guild

GLENLEIGH Park TG members met for the last time on December 4 at St Stephen's Church Hall.

It was a party with a difference. All the usual ingredients were there -food, raffle, lucky dip presents and carols - but this time there were more speeches and toasts (with sherry).

Mrs White, our chairman, and Mrs Richardson, our treasurer, were thanked for all their work in the running of the guild and were each presented with a beautiful basket of plants supplied by Carrolls Florist. There was a photo session (above right) showing Mrs Machin, our president, about to cut the beautiful birthday cake made by our chairman.

The meeting ended with the singing of Auld Lang Syne and promises were made to keep in touch and invitations were given to join other guilds in the area to keep the TG movement alive.
