The minutes were approved and the treasurer then gave her report and regaled us with the exceptionally good news that in view of the fact we are holding a very good working balance, our fees for the coming year, and only this year, will be reduced by 5. This news was of course received a great ovation.

The various other sections gave their reports and we were reminded of the Guild Carol Service to be held on Friday, December 12, at Parkhurst Hall.

The Craft Group, under the auspices of Penny Faulkner, produced the most magnificent and colourful display of goods for sale.

All the goods were hand-crafted and beautifully presented. Well done the Craft Group.

After coffee and cakes came the highlight of the meeting, with the Drama Group royally entertaining us with their Christmas production, and what fun we all had. They were so good and hilariously funny.

Hard-working Elephant Elves cleaning up Santa's grotto, beautiful Fairies sporting frilly bloomers peeping beneath their ballet skirts and Snowmen berating the fact they were melting before our very eyes.

All this so ably accompanied by Helen Shuttleworth in her usual accomplished manner. June Mantle is to be congratulated.

Her presentation, hilarious jokes and such a wealth of comedy - well done the Drama Group. A really great show.

After the raffle, so ably presented bt Jill Halsall, we braved the wind and rain - homeward bound.

The next meeting will be at Little Common Community Centre on Thursday, December 11.
