Love, loss and revengein classic opera ballet

The story revolves around the hunchbacked court jester, Rigoletto, his beautiful daughter Gilda he loves (but had kept secret from the Court) and the womanising Duke of Mantua he serves.

For one night only, as part of its UK Tour, The Russian State Ballet and Opera House will be coming to the White Rock Theatre on Thursday (February 19).

With an impressive cast and accompanied by a live Orchestra with over 30 musicians, Verdi’s masterpiece is brought vividly to life in the performance.

Often described as Verdi’s first work of complete genius, Rigoletto is particularly noted for its subtle and highly original characterisation.
